What the role is
A GoDesign project manager is the single point of contact for a set of client projects: websites, ecommerce stores, brand identities, CRM implementations. You own the schedule, the communication and the quality of what ships. Designers and developers do the work; you make sure the right work happens in the right order and that the client always knows where things stand. Responsibilities
- Run the discovery call with the client, write the brief and the scope, and turn the quote into a plan with milestones.
- Hand projects to the team in Slack and the PM app, assign tasks, and get daily updates without micromanaging.
- Send the client a written update every week, and answer questions the same working day.
- Review every deliverable before the client sees it: design against the brief, site against the checklist, copy for errors.
- Handle scope changes properly: written, priced, agreed.
- Close the project: training, handover of logins and files, the review request, the retainer conversation.
Who does well here
People who are calm in writing. Most client communication is written and asynchronous, across time zones from Pakistan to the US, so clear short English matters more than a degree. You need enough understanding of WordPress, Figma and how websites are built to tell a real problem from a preference, and enough spine to say no to a change that would break the timeline. Two years of managing digital projects is the usual minimum; agency experience is a plus.

- Slack and Google Meet for the team and for clients.
- The GoDesign PM app (app.godesign.pk) for leads, projects, tasks and invoices.
- Figma for reviewing designs, WordPress and Shopify admin for reviewing builds.
- Zoho CRM and HubSpot when the project is a CRM implementation.
- Google Search Console and GA4 for reading how a site performs after launch.
Pay, hours and location
Full-time, based in our Islamabad office in DHA Phase 2, with remote arrangements for the right person. Hours overlap with the UK and Gulf in the afternoon and with the US East Coast in the evening, so the day starts late rather than early. Pay depends on experience and is stated on the listing when a position is open.

- Do I need to be a developer to be a project manager at GoDesign?
- No. You need to understand how websites and CRMs are built well enough to review work and spot problems, but you will not write code. Former designers, developers and account managers have all done well in the role.
- Is the role remote?
- Primarily office-based in Islamabad, with hybrid or remote arrangements for experienced candidates. Working hours follow client time zones, so afternoons and evenings are the busy period.
